Aquatic Critical Incident Response Team
Our Aquatic Critical Incident Response Team (AqCIRT) operates as an International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) Accredited Critical Incident Stress Management Team. Accredited CISM Teams represent the highest level of recognition, reflecting advanced training and a strong commitment to excellence, accountability, and ongoing professional development.
AqCIRT is a peer-led, peer-driven support network of Lifeguard Peer Support Volunteers (LPSVs), supported by ILCIRA Leadership Staff. Support is provided by LPSVs and, when appropriate, referrals to Mental Health Providers (MHPs) will be made.
Membership based services will be offered for the general industry starting in 2028.
